abz crane project updates…
The abz crane project has a very simple goal:
To saturate the world with origami peace cranes and bring about world peace.
How a square piece of paper can be transformed into a bird seems magical to me.
This process is captured on the cover binding art (adapted from a Hokusai print, John Andreas collection) on “The Best of Origami: New models by contemporary folders”
by Samuel Randlett.
After completing the above 30-Day Challenge in the Steal like an artist journal,
I have been inspired to continue. I have possibly folded 1,000 origami cranes in my life.
I want to make sure, so the current plan is to give away at least one crane a day for 1,000 days. This part of the project started on Thursday, 18 February 2016 and will hopefully be completed 1,000 days later in November of 2018.
Something to keep me going and to promote world peace.
